Ski-test 2022/23: many confirmations from Fischer!

One of the best skis of the season is from Fischer, which wins the "Gold Medal" award among the skis chosen by the testers! Let's discover together the novelties of the Austrian house.

The Fischer RC4 WorldCup RC Pro is the proposal in the GS racecarver field, it is a product that continues to positively surprise all our testers, both professionals and consumers. We tried it in Pila, on the winter snow at the end of February, and the characteristic that emerges every time is the splendid and immediate feeling that arises between ski and skier. The new RC4 WorldCup RC Pro is very reactive and dynamic, it is especially popular in wide curves and for its harmonious handling and - last but not least - for its excellent stability. The sidecut is not high, the tip resembles that of a "real GS" but manages to offer a nice curve entry, always resulting stable and dynamic. The new Fischer RC4 WorldCup SC Pro presented by the Austrian company in the Racecarver Slalom category confirms Fischer's serious evolution in the racecarver field, with products perfectly centered on the user target, easy to manage and appreciable in various situations. We tested the new RC4 SC Pro on the snow of Cervinia in July 2021 in compact and ideal snow conditions, for our entire test team it proved to be a dynamic, stable ski with good handling responses. Instructor Stefano Belingheri does not mince words and indicates as "excellent choice for lovers of short skis", as it always remains stable in handling and dynamic, usable even with brushstroke curves, not excessively fast. The Fischer RC4 WorldCup CT is the best all-round performance of the year! Since it was presented, the Fischer RC4 CT has received the full appreciation of our entire test team, regardless of the testers and their background. Also this year it was awarded, for the third consecutive year, as a "Chosen by Tester" ski as the best product in the Allround Performance field for next season. The German ski manages to combine the "carefree" of a racecarver with the performance of a giant: in fact, one has the impression of precision of a giant ski with the simplicity of a slalom. The ski is very manageable, enters the curve easily and quickly, has an elastic structure, which holds in the curve and is always planted on the ground and, despite this, it flexes well and absorbs the terrain. The words are very similar on each card, the ski is very intuitive, easy but at the same time accompanies the skier well in the curve and supports him, without giving up. Among the all-rounders proposed by Fischer we tried the Fischer RC4 The Curv M/O-PLATE and the RC4 The Curv DTI ALLRIDE. The first is ideal for driving on wide tracks at high speeds, it has the ability to adapt to any curve arc, from the wide radius to the serpentine, thanks to the ease of closing the curve. The ideal terrain is that of medium-large curves, where it is easy to handle the ski and set it, it responds well to the impulse in the change of direction, but you must in any case be equipped with good technique and physically fit enough, also considering the lengths of the skis being tested (178 cm). The new Fischer RC4 The Curv DTI ALL RIDE is easy, stable and easy to handle. It is a product for the average-advanced skier, which offers more than extreme performance, comfort and ease of handling, in all situations. It fully responds to the profile described with 100% of the preferences of our testers, who therefore agree in affirming how the ski manages to offer not only maneuverability but also a lot of safety in the various phases of curve management, also thanks to the particular sidecut that we have learned to appreciate over the years. The "good feeling" that is often sought in a product can be found here almost from the first meters of skiing. The Fischer One 72 is confirmed as a mid-range all-round tourism in the Austrian home range: it is a ski that, in the ONE family, stands out for its ease of setting, the lightness of the structure and its intuitiveness. very entry, at not exaggerated rhythms and on the short arc, it is a very enjoyable ski. The ideal terrain for skiing is one that is not excessively compact and, thanks to the structure, is also suitable for rough ones. The range of use is that of medium and tight curves, thanks to the reduced curve radius. Fischer's move, to present a slalom model dedicated to the lady world, mixes the cards on the table and is highly appreciated by the female side of our test team. The Fischer RC4 Worldcup SC proves to be performing, easy, intuitive and easy to handle, designed for different levels of skiing. The ski receives very high marks thanks to the ease of edge grip, made very intuitive by the sidecut and the well-calibrated structure, and to the management comfort, managing to offer female skiers a valid product, which performs well both in tight turns and in those medium. The new Fischer freeride line revamps its look but does not change its substance: the new Rangers are renewed in geometry and design, giving life to a ski that is interesting both on an aesthetic level and in terms of structure. The Ranger 102 is a stable ski, easy to handle and intuitive, which offers excellent flotation on deep powdery snow but at the same time offers excellent grip even on groomed slopes. Fischer Ranger 102 tested in size 183 proved to be a "pure and hard" freeride ski, the ideal companion on powder days but at the same time multi-purpose on any type of snow and situation, it gets along on bad and broken snow, it can be ridden perfectly even on groomed slopes, a high-performance and all-round multi-purpose ski. Fischer's "superlight" line is represented by Hannibal, a line created for the weight needs of those who make the ascent to conquer the descent their way of experiencing the mountains. The Hannibal line consists of two models, the 106 and the 96, the latter tested by our testers. The Fischer Hannibal 96 Carbon is a very light freeride/ski-touring ski with a width underfoot of 96mm, the the core of the ski is made of wood, the sandwich construction and materials such as titanal, carbon and ABS are also used. The ski has a tip rocker. It is intuitive and easy, the right weight if used for ski mountaineering or ski-touring combined with ski lifts, ideal for ski mountaineering or touring. It is an excellent compromise between comfort uphill and performance downhill. The perfect ski for those who love outings with long climbs and lots of elevation gain to earn the descent and want a high-performance ski underfoot.
