SKI TEST 2025/26: Rossignol, new models and three “Gold Medals”!

For the coming season, the French brand is renewing its all-mountain line with the new Arcade, while confirming high-level, award-winning products in all the segments tested, with no fewer than three “Gold Medals”. Let’s take a look at them together!

The undisputed star of the Rossignol tests and range is the Rossignol Hero Master LT M17 R22. A stable and progressive product, tested in the 173 cm length, aimed at lovers of broad turns as well as athletic skiers with a high level of technical and physical preparation. As we might dare say, it wins the Gold Medal for “Tester’s Choice” skis in the giant racecarver category, receiving an ovation in the voting by our testers.

The Rossignol Hero Master ST M13 R22 is the flagship product in the slalom racecarver segment and, like its bigger brother, can also boast the gold medal for “Tester’s Choice 2026” skis in its category. The ski is stable, durable and reliable, ideal for tight turns while also handling wider ones with ease.

The Forza line remains a mainstay of the range, renewed aesthetically with minor adjustments to the tip structure. Building on the success of previous seasons, the Rossignol Forza 70+ Ti Master confirms its status as one of the best skis in the all-round performance category and wins the gold medal for “Tester’s Choice” skis: it is a high-performance product, aimed at a broad range of intermediate to advanced skiers, but you absolutely have to enjoy carving and seeking out extreme edge angles!
Next, the Rossignol Forza 60 earns the “Tester’s Choice” ski medal for its ease of use and for offering the easiest turn initiation in the all-round touring category.  Its excellent turn entry is ideal for the tourist skier and for anyone who wants to stay on the slopes all day without overexerting themselves or enduring excessive fatigue.

The all-mountain piste segment is beginning to fill up with many interesting options in Italy as well, and Rossignol is taking it on with the Arcade range. We tested both the Rossignol Arcade 84 and the Arcade 88. The Arcade 84s are, above all, skis to be used all day; featuring an 84 mm waist and rocker, they are exceptionally easy and highly elastic, allowing you to tackle the slopes without worrying about the snow beneath your feet.

With their wider waist, the Arcade 88s are more stable and secure on chopped-up or fresh snow, but they lose a little in terms of quickness and precision. For the recreational skier they are aimed at, however, this will make no difference.

We also find two medals in the freeski category: the Sender range continues to be excellent for lovers of the freedom offered by fresh snow. The Rossignol Sender Soul 102 was tested on the fantastic snow of Monte Rosa, and thanks to its very soft and pronounced tip, it offers easy turn initiation and remains manoeuvrable at high speed, with a tail that helps and supports you in the event of an error. It wins the “Tester’s Choice” medal for its excellent aerial performance.

The Rossignol Sender Free 100, tested as a freeride touring ski, features eye-catching graphics, but the tests revealed much deeper qualities: it stands out for its float (the reason it wins the “Tester’s Choice" ski award in the category), and it is very easy to turn. It has beautifully shaped rocker in both the tip and tail.
