Ski test 2019/20: all the new Salomon

Salomon renews its range for 2019/20 with a series of tools that are appreciated for their ease of management at every level, we discover together the new S / Race, S / Force and the QST line from freeski.

The ski is always fun and very manageable in any condition, but it is quite sectorial: it is not suitable for wide curves and at high speeds loses stability . The ski for the intermediate high level spokes, the all-round performance category, is called Salomon S / Race Rush GS.It is a tough ski, with an excellent structure that manages to be gradual and soft in the deformation. It is a high-level ski, designed for those looking for high performance and is willing to think about every curve, setting, management and closure. He likes it not only for its stability but also for its management, he always skis on the tracks, provided he knows how to lead it. For skiers looking for a simpler ski in management than a racecar or have not yet achieved mastery of management, levels 5 and 4, Salomon offers the new S / Force series. The Salomon S / Force BOLD is presented by the French company for skiers of level 5, it has been tested on loose snow after a spring snowfall, the sidecut offers a valid support for rough terrain, it is almost a GT: it goes fast and absorbs the roughness of the ground well, filtering it properly. The spatula has a slight rocker that allows you to easily enter the curve, although the very generous sidecut under the foot and the rather rigid structure slow down the inversion. It is easy to handle at low speeds, it is possible to ski even when not in use, it is simple in tight curves, it has a generous sidecut under the foot to absorb roughness. It also allows you to progress beyond the base level and grow the skier. In the freeski field we find the QST series with the QST 99 and QST 106 under the foot. The latter was tested only in freeride, it is a ski that gives safety, excellent in powder snow, with good buoyancy. The high sidecut makes it more suited to routes with fresh snow and powder and open fields rather than turning in the strait, it is well structured and performs well even at speed. and does not disappoint on the track, where it adapts to the terrain and proves to be versatile, in any condition and pace.
