DPCM 3 November. Follow the rules and keep fit

The new Dpcm, effective from Friday 6 November, severely limits the possibilities of all of us to move and play sports. Rightly, the aspects of health protection and contagion containment prevail over everything, including our right to practice sports and to stay in shape. Let's review together, thanks to the indications of the CAI, what are the possibilities of frequenting the mountains and of particular outdoor sports and motor activities allowed in this period.

Red regions In regions classified with the red color, "characterized by a scenario of maximum severity and a high risk level" (today Calabria, Lombardy, Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta), motor activity is allowed only individually, in proximity of your home, at a distance of at least one meter from any other person and with the obligation of a mask Sports activities (skiing, trekking, mountain biking, ...) are permitted "exclusively outdoors and individually", only within the municipality of residence. Sports shops and some sports centers may remain open but in fact the prohibition of moving within the municipality of residence (except for work needs, situations of necessity or health reasons) then entails the objective impediment in the use of the same. Orange regions In the regions classified with the orange color, "characterized by a scenario of high severity and a high level of risk" (today Puglia and Sicily), the ban on moving to municipalities other than the one of residence is valid unless proven work needs, study, health or "to carry out activities or use services that are not suspended and not available in that Municipality". As motor activity and sporting activities are not suspended in these areas (without prejudice to distancing and the prohibition of gathering), it must be assumed that, in the event that these activities cannot be carried out in one's own municipality (as in the case of lowland territories), the movement within one's own region, even if not recommended, is to be considered possible. Yellow regions In the remaining regions, classified with the yellow color, the provisions already in force since last October 24 apply: mountain activities can be carried out, only with the strictest respect for the use of protective equipment, spacing and with the prohibition of gathering. However, it is forbidden to go to red or orange areas to practice skiing, trekking or mountain biking. We subscribe to the suggestions of the CAI general president Vincenzo Torti and the Director Andreina Maggiore. "In any case, and once more, we allow ourselves to invite everyone not only to respect the rules, but also to adopt, even if there is possibility from a regulatory point of view, behavior based on prudence, a sense of responsibility and mutual respect, on which, much more than mere prohibitions, a return to normality can also be based on the frequentation of the mountains ".
