Yesterday evening, October 25th, the order signed by the President of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Arno Kompatscher, was approved, which provides for the opening of restaurants until 10 pm, instead of 6 pm, and the operation of the ski lifts with the adoption of specific guidelines. You can then continue skiing in Solda and in Val Senales.
Elmar Pichler Rolle, vice president of Anef Alto Adige, agrees with the decision taken by the President of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, according to which "ski lifts should be equated with local public transport. Their closure would represent a severe blow to many mountain areas, which survive only thanks to tourism and have no other income. If the plants close, the hotels also close and the economy in these countries stops. The ski lifts and chair lifts are no problem because they are outdoors. In the gondola lifts and chair lifts the distance, as well as on the buses, obviously cannot be guaranteed, but there is an absolute obligation to wear a mask and travel times are very short, well under ten minutes. The second wave of infections certainly cannot be attributed to the ski centers because they were still closed. Skiing is an outdoor sport, which cannot be treated in the same way as gyms and swimming pools ".
