In the Monte Cavallo ski area, a modern 10-seater gondola will replace the gondola after 35 years of activity.

For the next winter season, the new 10-seater cable car of Monte Cavallo, in Vipiteno, will come into operation, which will replace the previous ski lift built in 1987.
The top of the range was chosen: premium cabins "Diamond EVO" from the company "Leitner" from Vipiteno. The plant will be able to transport 2,300 people per hour and will take 8 minutes to travel the route with a speed of 6m / s.
The valley station (960 meters high) and the top station (860 meters high) will also be renovated.
Furthermore, the offices of the Vipiteno Val di Vizze Campo di Trens tourist cooperative will be moved to the valley station. In this way, the close relationship between the tourist cooperative, which was already very financially involved in the construction of the new Monte Cavallo slope a few years ago and which is now involved in the construction of the cable car, will be further expanded.
This summer, therefore, the old gondola will remain closed.
