All the slopes of the Friuli Venezia Giulia ski areas are open except for the Canin di Selle Nevea race track which is reserved for national training until Friday 14 February. Also in Sappada the Miravalle and Hochbolt plants are currently closed.

On Monday 10 February #FVGsnowchallenge started, the PromoTurismoFVG initiative that brings together photography enthusiasts to tell, through their shots, the beauty of the peaks and mountain winter landscapes of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The challenge, active until 10 March, is dedicated to those who will post a 360-degree photo of the mountains of the region on the Instagram @FVGlive bulletin board with the author's name and inserting the hashtag #FVGsnowchallenge and the mention @FVGlive. Each week the most beautiful image will be selected among the most popular and suggestive ones and the winner will be able to choose a “Live Like a Local†experience among those available on the PromoTurismoFVG portal page dedicated to the project (for more information on the challenge you can consult the site http://bit.ly/FVGsnowchallenge).
There are also numerous special offers that PromoTurismoFVG has studied and implemented for this winter season. FISI members will be able to benefit from a promotional rate on Friday 14 February and Friday 13 March which provides a 50% discount on the purchase of the daily ski pass while for families, PromoTurismoFVG also offers this year reductions on tickets for the little ones: the ski pass it's free for all children born between 2013 and 2017, those born between 2006 and 2012 included, can instead benefit from the children's rate which provides a daily cost of 9.5 euros without distinction of seasonality. Finally, a 35% family discount can be applied to each individual member of the family (minimum 3 members) on the individual price of the Snow and Ski @ seasonal season ticket.
The slopes of Tarvisio and the Sella Nevea-Kanin ski area host the female Alpine skiing national team until Friday 14 February. The blue team led by Federica Brignone, second in the overall World Cup standings, chose the snows of the Tarvisiano to better prepare the weekend of technical races in Kranjska Gora where a giant slalom and a special slalom will be staged. A nice opportunity for ski enthusiasts who will be able to admire Marta Bassino as well as the champion Federica Brignone, as well as all the other protagonists of a team that is experiencing an extraordinary season.

SAURIS-FORNI DI SOPRA
Sauris: on Friday 14 February at 6.00 pm the suggestive snowshoeing "By starlight" is scheduled.
Friday 14 February at 7.00 pm in Lateis, an interesting appointment entitled "How a violin is born", meeting with Lino Madotto violin maker for passion that explains how a violin is born. Some members of the Valresia folk group will also be present.
Forni di Sopra: Friday 14 and Wednesday 19 February from 18.00 to 20.00, appointment at the Cross Country Center for "Skiing under the stars", an approach to cross-country skiing promoted by the Ski Instructors.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 February from 09.00 the Varmost2 track is the theater of the Memorial Claudio Suggi Liverali and Rossana Rinaldi, giant slalom races valid for the FIS Junior circuit.
Tuesday, February 18 at 5.00 pm Ski-Alp by night, the "Varmost 1" and "Senas Bassa" slopes will be open for climbing with ski mountaineering and seal skins. The ascent is allowed up to the restaurant "La Suita" at an altitude of 1500 m.
Wednesday, February 19 appointment at the Old Town Hall at 21.00 for an evening in the company of Andrea Antonini entitled "Astronomy for all".
TARVISIO AND VALBRUNA
Valbruna: Thursday 13 and Tuesday 18 February at 10.00 and 11.00 appointment in Val Saisera at the "Prati Oitzingher" farmhouse for a suggestive tour of Val Saisera on board a horse-drawn carriage.
Val Bartolo: Friday 14 February at 5.30 pm Snow fat bike, bike excursion on snow tires accompanied by an Ami bike instructor. Meeting in Val Bartolo.
Sella Nevea: Sunday 16 February, from 8.00 am freeride excursion with mountain guide. Packed lunch.
SAPPADA and FORNI AVOLTRI
Sappada: Thursday 13 February at 8.45 pm at the Col dei Mughi slope, Ski Show of the Sappada ski instructors. Exhibition of skiing techniques at night.
Sunday, February 16 from 2.30 pm onwards in Borgata Kratten, second appointment with the "Plodar Vosenocht Sappada Carnival" and the characteristic wooden masks. The disguises of this day offer playful representations of the works of the past.
Forni Avoltri: Saturday 15 February, appointment at the Infopoint for an excursion with snowshoes at night without artificial light sources, and following a typical dinner in an alpine hut.
PIANCAVALLO
Thursday 13 at 18.00 appointment with "The guest torchlight procession", a suggestive torchlight procession at the Casere slope.
The 37th edition of the "Transcavallo-Alpago", the historic international ski mountaineering event which takes place along the main slopes of the mountains surrounding Piancavallo, is scheduled from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 February.
Sunday 16 February at 10.00 in Ronciade, appointment with the excursion "A tour with snowshoes".
ZONCOLAN
Sutrio: Friday 14 February from 11.00 am, visit to the Alto But dairy and tasting of typical Carnia cheeses.
Zoncolan: Saturday 15 February at 11.00 am appointment with "Attento al lupo", sports-educational game on the slopes of the Zoncolan.
Ravascletto: Sunday 16 February from 2.30 pm, "Carnival of the Valcalda", masked parade along the streets of the center of Ravascletto.
