Friuli Venezia Giulia, the project to experience the mountain at 365 °

Yesterday, Thursday 9 July, PromoTurismoFVG presented the project "Qui Montagna365:« Quota 1300 »-Summer 2020" in Sagrado to fully experience the mountains, not only in winter in the 6 ski areas, but also in summer in the 10 hiking areas that Friuli Venezia Giulia offers: Piancavallo, Forni di Sopra / Sauris, Zoncolan, Tarvisiano, Sella Nevea, Sappada, Carnia, Gemonese, Torre Valleys and Natisone. Karst.

During the locwdown work tables were created and strategies were discussed, some of which have already been implemented and others in the development phase, to improve the tourist offer. Among these we find: Enhancement of mountain areas, identifying a specific vocation for the poles, extending the programs also to the summer period. Package composition of products based on «experiences», highly sought after by «digital tourists». Enhancement of the wilderness element as an added and distinctive value of the Friuli mountains through the completion of the publication of the editorial line "Top20" with the guide Top 20 Free Climbing and the special DAV Panorama and Meridiani Montagne. Strengthening of hiking services based on market needs through coordination of local authorities (Consortia, Networks and service providers) Integration of the gastronomic offer, of the small typical productions and of the artistic craftsmanship within the mountain tourism product. Territorial development activities: support for the creation of new business networks including Piancavallo. Positioning of the MADE Sappada-Tarvisio itinerary Promotion-marketing strategy: implementation of at least two commercial entities for the mountain offer. Integrated communication: web, social, print, radio and web. Technical implementation and content of the portal dedicated to the mountains of Friuli Venezia Giulia, integrated into the website www.turismofvg.it with sale of ski passes and experiences. "A dream in the drawer of the Region - explained Sergio Emidio Bini, Regional Councilor for Productive Activities with responsibility for Tourism - is the establishment of a single consortium for the management and promotion of the mountain, which is able to transmit our wealth to potential users, to make their potential and caliber known. To reach this goal, however, it is necessary to know how to overcome parochialisms, submitting constructive and effective proposals and projects to the regional administration. This will allow to support and support a relaunch of the mountain to recover the lost ground and reposition this "product" of tourism in the FVG in the appropriate spaces, giving feedback and refreshment to the companies that have worked to overcome the "lockdown" and the crisis". As regards food and wine, work is being done on the enhancement and promotion of the mountain agri-food sector and catering with the involvement of agricultural producers (wine, cheeses, meat and salami, preserves and vegetable preparations, confectionery products, honeys, vegetables. oil, grappas, beers, juices) and catering facilities, from the farm to the farm, in the main sporting events and in local animation activities. Furthermore, work will be carried out on the integration of sport and food and wine through the combination of cycling, trekking and slow routes with the food and wine attractions such as the Alpe Adria Trail. Finally, as regards the purchase of ski passes and online tickets on the new site (also equipped with an interactive map), the goal is to create a single database for multi-service tourist, transport, events and accommodation cards. By October the installation of the new system to access the ski lifts will also be completed. According to Councilor Sergio Emidio Bini, "the most concrete message with which we can present our mountain, together with the entire regional territory, is that the Fvg is a healthy region to be visited in complete safety, both for the correct choices adopted in the months of the pandemic both for the way in which health regulations are still respected by tour operators ".
