PromoTurismoFVG is preparing for the new winter season with many new features such as the most competitive daily ski pass, the category of children up to the age of 14, the children free up to 7 years and the "No Ski" season ticket for snow "pedestrians".
Friuli Venezia Giulia is once again the most competitive mountain in the entire Alpine region, with lower prices than other destinations. Piancavallo, Sauris-Forni di Sopra, Sappada, Zoncolan, Tarvisio and Sella Nevea: the six ski poles focus on competitive prices, services and the organization of some major events that attract more and more tourists in the territory and new potential Italian and foreign skiers .
On the slopes at competitive prices
Also for this year PromoTurismoFVG chooses to keep prices competitive for skiers: the rate for the daily ski pass stops at 38.50 euros, about 30 percent less than the other Italian poles and those who choose the season pass for the family will save 50 percent if compared to other competitors. A price, that of the seasonal ski pass, which has remained unchanged for eight years, as well as the family discount, which for the current season saw the extension of the category children up to 14 years (the previous year included children up to 10 years), while children up to 7 years stay free. Among the other innovations for subscriptions, the "No Ski" pass, designed for those who want to live and enjoy the magic of the mountain on foot, between excursions and walks moving with the facilities.
New services and promotional initiatives
For the winter 2019/2020 PromoTurismoFVG also intends to encourage services, with a skibus linking facilities and accommodations in Sappada, Forni di Sopra, Arta Terme, Sutrio, Zoncolan, Tarvisio, Sella Nevea and Piancavallo, while working also on connection between the ski centers in a midweek day (Sappada-Zoncolan; Forni di Sopra-Zoncolan). Transports are joined by a series of new initiatives to experience the mountain in a unique way: the Aperigatto or the Fly & Ski, the flight over the Carnic Alps with an ultralight combined with a day of skiing on the Zoncolan or, again, the animation “Vivi l 'winter' with a series of initiatives designed by PromoTurismoFVG such as snowshoeing, ski mountaineering and carriage rides, in addition to activities for families and children. Among the other promotional activities reserved for skiers, Ski & Taste are still valid, with the possibility of participating in discounts and tastings through the passport of the FVG Wine and Flavor Route, which represents the passepartout to learn about and appreciate the typical features of regional food and wine, and SkiPass & Wellness, with discounts on services at the spa of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
On December 14th it is FVG Live High Quota's day, the open day with a free lesson, equipment and free equipment hire for the little ones up to 12 years included in all the FVG ski areas. The "Top 20 Winter Trails in FVG" will also be published shortly, a selection of courses included in a publication created by PromoTurismoFVG in collaboration with the Tabacco publishing house.
Top events
Sports and big events will also be protagonists of the winter in the mountains of Friuli Venezia Giulia. We start in January, 25 and 26 with the Snowboard World Cup in Piancavallo, organized in collaboration with the Sporting Sporting Club Piancavallo in the splendid setting of the Friulian Dolomites and in the arena preferred by lovers of the table. On 1 and 2 February, the Biberon Trophy will be featured at Forni di Sopra, organized by the Sci Club 70 ASR with 400 athletes, while from 7 to 9 February in Piancavallo the Fis Continental Cross-Country Cup will be held in collaboration with ASD Sci club Panorama and on 13th and 14th February in Sella Nevea the Fis Alpine Skiing European Cup (Us Camporosso). The events in March move to the Julian Alps, to Tarvisio, from 5 to 8 March with the Italian Championships for pupils and children cross-country skiing, promoted by the Bachmann high school and which will see 220 athletes on the slopes, while the Championships from 23 to 28 March Italian children will be held on the Zoncolan with 1200 athletes involved in the event organized by the Ski Club Monte Dauda. The season of big events will close, from 3 to 7 April in Tarvisio, the very young Grand Prix and the Italian ski masters championship with 1600 athletes from the Italian Ski School Tarvisio, in view of the Eyof 2023.
Investments and new plants
All the six poles of Friuli Venezia Giulia were affected by revision, upgrading and upgrading of plants and infrastructures, for a total investment of 10,642,000 euros: in particular, the works concerned works to revise and upgrade the plants ascent, remodeling and securing of some ski slopes, upgrading of snow cover, expansion of water basins and restructuring and integration of some playground areas.
