PromoturismoFVG presents the 2019-2020 winter offer with many new and top-level sporting events

The 2019-2020 winter season of Friuli Venezia Giulia was presented this morning at the Dacia Arena in Udine. On this occasion, the General Manager of PromoturismoFVG Lucio Gomiero and the regional Tourism Councilor Sergio Emidio Bini also revealed the Montagna365 Strategic Plan 2019-2024 which outlined the guidelines for the investments to be made over the next five years.

With regard to the forecasts for the 2019-20 winter season, revision and adjustment interventions were carried out on all the poles on the plants and on the tracks and infrastructures which provided investments of 10,642,000 euros. Few substantial innovations in the area of the tariffs, "The price of the basic seasonal ski pass will remain unchanged - Gomiero has informed - and it has been stable for 8 years, just as the family discount remains unchanged at 35%. Instead, we will update the daily ski pass with the addition of 1.5 euros and the category of children from 10 to 14 years will be extended ". Among the initiatives for the 2019-20 winter season there are also the No Ski subscriptions for non-skiers and the participation in international circuits and online sales Snow Pass, Julian Alps, Snowit, Ski4You, Sciare a Nordest, but also the co-marketing activities with Trieste Trasporti. The ski pass presale will begin on November 22nd in the ski centers, at the Arta Thermal Baths, at the Palmanova and Noventa di Piave Outlet Village and at the Trieste and Pordenone infopoints. Among the promotional innovations, greater advantages for those who purchase the seasonal ski pass, summer return tickets with inclusion Bovec / Kanin, Ski & Taste (tastings and discounts) with SVS passport, SkiPass & Wellness (discounts on services offered at Terme Fvg), daily and multi-day ski passes . Furthermore, on December 14th, in collaboration with Amsi Fvg and a system of suppliers and operators, Fvg Live Alta Quota Open Day is scheduled for the region's ski centers. There will be many top-level sporting events that will see the Friulian mountains as protagonists in the coming winter. The most important event will be the weekend of Snowboard World Cup races scheduled for Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January on the slopes of Piancavallo. The same locality of the Pordenone area will also host a cross-country OPA Cup competition, while the Tarvisiano will be the scene of the European Cup fast races at Sella Nevea and Tarvisio of the national finals of the Giovanissimi Grand Prix. Regarding the new development plan of the Friuli mountains instead, PromoturismoFVG has focused a lot on the investments devoted to the enhancement of the territory taking into account the climatic factors and the evolution of mountain tourism. "This plan - Bini said - is the result of teamwork and aims to offer increasingly qualified services to mountain users who need quality and investments. In the last twenty years they have been addressed 266 million euros but today it is important to continue to support the development of this territory that represents a richness for the entire region, so we ask PromoTurismo Fvg to speed up investments so as to restart the economy and enhance our mountain that can become important also from the employment point of view. To do this, resources are needed on specific objectives, sharing, overcoming parochialism and private involvement ". One of the innovations envisaged by the plan is the study of a new system for issuing and controlling entrance tickets to the poles of the poles (starting from summer 2020) and the subsequent implementation with a single regional card system. "An epochal novelty for Friuli Venezia Giulia. From the mountain - explained Gomiero - a pilot project will start for which we are closing the race. It is a system that not only includes the reading of the sky pass but will include a whole a skiing experience that will range from hotel reservations to parking and catering. In this sense, we will help tourists enjoy an all-inclusive option that can then be exported to the world of the beach or museums to become a "single regional card". Among the objectives to be achieved in the next 3-5 years, it has been highlighted, there is the strengthening of investments in telecommunications and connectivity and in the quality of beds and hospitality to provide the territory with better hotel accommodation and starred restaurants . Added to this is the intention to reach, within the next 5 years, a 50% increase in tourists on the summer mountain (from 655 thousand to 900 thousand) while on the winter side, for the next two years, the objective remains that to preserve the current numbers (650 thousand first entries) and then increase by 10-15% once the skiable domain has been expanded.
