Skis and BindingsDynastar
For the designers, researchers and engineers of the Dynastar research and development center in Chamonix, Mont Blanc is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, as well as an exclusive location where to test and develop products. It is in this context that Dynastar has developed over the years a complete range of skis for ski touring, from races to touring, with particular attention to the female audience.

Until a few years ago, ski mountaineering, the art of climbing the mountains with only human strength, thanks to the skins to be applied under the skis, and of going down in the fresh snow was a niche sport, for the few willing. In the last decade, thanks also to technological progress, which has made it possible to produce ever lighter and more fun skis, skialp has become the trendiest activity on the white mountain and produces very healthy effects on our body. Dynastar, the Mont Blanc brand, has always been one of the ski mountaineering specialists and produces a complete range, from race skis, to the right compromise between uphill and downhill performance, up to modern freetouring models, for those who give the same importance uphill and downhill fun. Without forgetting the women to whom a specific range is dedicated - quite rare in the world of skialp.
FAST AND LIGHT: VERTICAL PRO / VERTICAL
For those looking for a traditional ski touring ski, not too wide in the center to climb quickly and easily and safely descend on all types of snow, there is the Vertical line, with the Pro model indicated for medium-high level skiers and the Vertical for those who need a tool that forgives some technical deficiencies. Center width of 82 mm, Vertical Pro (959.99 euros with Look ST 10 binding) is built with the innovative Hybrid Core structure that combines the light polyurethane tip with the Paulownia wood core and the carbon reinforcements that guarantee lightness and agility useful uphill. The Early Rise rocker at the tip facilitates the ascent phase, also improving the start of the curve and promoting the maneuverability of the downhill skis. Vertical (789.99 euros with Look ST 10 binding) instead does not have carbon inserts, to guarantee a more docile behavior. Both are available in lengths 154, 162, 170 and 178 cm, with radii of curvature ranging from 16 to 22 m. Vertical Pro weighs from 2.1 to 2.4 kg per pair according to length, Vertical from 2.3 to 2.6 kg per pair.
KEEP YOUR FUN: MYTHIC PRO
There is no doubt that freetouring, which in France they call freerouring, is the future of ski mountaineering. From the freeride we took the spirit of freedom and that search for the most beautiful descent line, while the overall lightness of the structure and agility uphill remain of the skialp. These are skis with greater structure and a width in the upper center, to always guarantee downhill fun. Dynastar's answer to freetouring is called Mythic, practically the ski that 'invented' this segment four years ago. Mythic Pro 87 (€ 1,519.99 with Look HM Rotation 12 D90 binding) was designed in partnership with Vivian Bruchez, one of the gurus of steep skiing in the Mont Blanc massif, and condenses all the know-how of Dynastar engineers in terms of super lightness of materials and freeride shape to give life to skis that adapt in an extraordinary way to all terrains and to any type of snow. Sturdy and comfortable downhill thanks to the sandwich construction with integrated sidewall which ensures optimal stability and contact between snow and snow, these skis are also appreciated uphill due to their lightness (2.6 kg per 171 cm) to which the structure contributes in Paulownia wood and carbon fiber. The radius of curvature is 15 or 16 m depending on the length (171 or 179 cm). The Mythic 87 version (1,519.99 euros with Look HM Rotation 12 D90 binding) is instead more docile and slightly heavier (3 kg for 171 cm) due to the absence of carbon laminate layers and available in lengths of 160, 171 and 179 cm, with radii from 12 to 16 m. Finally, for those who want to 'enlarge', here is Mythic Pro 97 (€ 1,604.99 with Look HM Rotation 12 D105 binding), a pure concentrate of fun in deep snow. The construction is the same as the 87 Pro version and the weight of 2.7 kg by 171 cm (radius from 14 to 17 m depending on the length - available from 171, 177 and 184 cm).
THE COLOR OF VICTORY: PIERRA MENTA F-TEAM
F-Team stands for Factory Team and is the anthracite and orange line that brings together all the race skis, used by the strongest athletes in the world. And Pierra Menta F-Team (1,099 euros without attack), which weighs only 1,280 g, is the champion's tool, starting with the blue Matteo Eydallin and the French Axelle Mollaret. Ski of the year 2020 and 2019 of the Buyer's Guide of Skialper magazine, it is characterized by a very light sandwich structure reinforced with C-Ply carbon fiber for greater mobility and resistance and an ultra-light Dynacell core and is available in lengths 150 and 160 cm . Only for real champions.
SKI MOUNTAINEERING IS WOMAN: VERTICAL PRO W / VERTICAL W
They are called Vertical Pro W and Vertical W and are the two ski mountaineering models dedicated to women who have made this sport an expression of their desire for well-being and freedom. As the male twins are declined for the advanced users in the Pro version and more docile in the Vertical version. The width in the center is identical (82 mm), as is the price, and the constructions are similar - with layers of carbon laminate for the top of the range and the Hybrid Core that combines the very light Paulownia wood and polyurethane for both - but adapted to women's skiing. They are available in lengths 154, 162 and 170 cm.
