Vivid, the new technology for the lenses of the Giro ski masks

Vivid is the new technology developed by the company Giro, in collaboration with ZEISS Optics, which improves the visual experience on the snow by increasing contrast and definition.

Vivivd reduces eye fatigue, increases reaction time, provides an extra boost with regard to familiarity with the ground and guarantees optimal vision on the snow, especially at times of light. Conventional lenses and sunglasses are designed and manufactured to eliminate blue light. The common belief was that blue light was a bad light perceptible to the human eye. But what has to be said is that the snow is not completely white (it is the most reflective surface in nature) tending to blue. Vivid technology allows you to manipulate the perception of blue by improving the contrast of this color, blocking UV rays. Vivid works on a different range of the light spectrum than the other masks, it frees your eyes to better see the tracks and concentrate better on the descent. The Adapt Strap system, the latest addition to Giro, gives the possibility to customize the mask by quickly interchanging the straps to personalize your style.
