CitiBank sponsoring nine Olympic athletes ahead of Sochi

The U.S. banking giant, already a partner of the U.S. Olympic Committee, announced that it has reached a sponsorship agreement with nine Olympic and Paralympic athletes who will represent the United States at the upcoming Olympic Games in Sochi.

The banking group Citibank is one of the most important financial giants in the world with a vast portfolio of clients. In 2012, the'' American company on the occasion of the two hundredth anniversary of its foundation, has approached the world of sports, becoming the first partner of Team USA. '' The agreement reached between the two organizations has been warmly welcomed by Michael Corbat, CEO of Citi, "We are extremely proud to have created the Citi Team. Choosing the athletes fell on those sports that Americans are able to give satisfaction to lovers. " The Citi team is made up of: Julie Chu: Three-time Olympic medalist in the women's hockey''; Billy Demong: Olympic Champion in charge of'' gundersen individual Nordic combined; Erin Hamlin: Luge World Champion;  Dan Jansen: Olympic champion at the 1994 Lillehammer in the 1000m speed skating; Ted Ligety: Torino 2006 Olympic Champion in the combined event and dominated the last few seasons the giant slalom; Evan Lysacek: Olympic champion in figure skating charge; Alana Nichols: Award-Champion Paralympic Olympic winter and summer; Rico Roman: Promise of sled hockey; Picabo Street: Olympic champion in super-G at the 1998 Nagano.
