The Azzurri youth Olympics? The biathlon and ski touring pearls, with final bronze from the Nordic sector

The YOGs ended in Lausanne: for Italy a medal also came from the mixed cross-country, jump and Nordic combined team, the golds of the biathlon relay and Rocco Baldini shine.

They ended with a beautiful bronze medal conquered by the mixed cross-country, jump and Nordic combined team, the YOGs of a blue national team that performed well in Lausanne, in the 2020 edition of the Olympic Winter Games at a youth level. Annika Sieff, Stefano Radovan, Jessica Malsiner, Mattia Galiani, Silvia Campione and Elia Barp won the last medal of the expedition, with the 3rd place behind Norway and Austria, for a balance that counts of two golds, three silver and three bronzes, to which are added two golds, one silver and one bronze won with mixed nationality teams (thanks to Elisa Innocenti, Alessandro Segafredo, Carlotta Regine and Thomas Nadalini). The pearls are the triumphs of ski mountaineering, with the brace signed by Rocco Baldini and Luca Tomasoni in the sprint, and that of the mixed biathlon relay with Martina Trabucchi, Linda Zingerle, Nicolò Betemps and Marco Barale. Zingerle and Barale who also took silver in the single mixed relay, while ski touring also gave silver in the women's sprint with Silvia Berra. Alpine skiing brought Edoardo Saracco's bronze in the men's slalom, and speed skating the bronze in the women's mass start conquered by Katia Filippi.
