With two exceptional jumps by Lamparter and Rehrl, the Austrians took the lead in the team test in Beijing 2022, waiting for the cross-country segment that will start at 12:00 Italian time. The margin on Norway, Germany and Japan, great rivals for medals, is however small and promises to be a very open fight, with the Japanese perhaps a step below their European rivals.
Norway, without Jarl Magnus Riiber, will have 8 "to catch up and will start just before Germany and Japan. On the other hand, they pay an important gap and, on paper, France, the Czech Republic, the USA and Finland will be decisive. the tactical choices of the various nations regarding the order of the fractionists.
Italy's test was negative but in line with what has been shown so far. The best blue was once again Buzzi, while Bortolas, Pittin and Costa struggled, for a delay of almost 3 and a half minutes and places Italy in 9th place, ahead only of China.
