Adamello Ski Raid, the best Azzurri will be at the start of the appointment scheduled for Saturday 10 April

In Ponte di Legno the pairs race, with Eydallin-Magnini to challenge Boscacci-Antonioli, but not only ...

Leafing through the gold book of the Adamello Ski Raid, the names of skialpers who have made the history of this discipline appear, from Guido Giacomelli to Mirco Mezzanotte, from Martin Riz to Dennis Trento, from Mireia Mirò to Laetitia Roux, from William Bon Mardion to Matheo Jacquemod up to Jennifer Fiechter and Axelle Mollaret. And to triumph at the finish line in Ponte di Legno, on Saturday 10 April for the 2021 edition of the big event, there will also this year be prominent athletes, protagonists of the recently concluded World Cup and who had made a stop right in the area Ponte di Legno-Tonale last December. The confirmation comes from the first registrations of the big names, who have dissolved the reserves, making their climbing partners official. Because the Adamello Ski Raid is a competition in pairs, in the full spirit of those who face the mountains; the winner of the recent Individual World Cup, Matteo Eydallin, orphan of Damiano Lenzi with whom he won the last two editions of the Adamello Ski Raid, has decided that he will compete together with the young fellow of the Army and home athlete Davide Magnini (among other things, second in the overall individual World Cup). The unusual couple will have to beware of the Army comrades, Michele Boscacci and Robert Antonioli, and again from Federico Nicolini and Alex Oberbacher, from the young Nicolò Ernesto Canclini and Andrea Prandi and then the experts Pietro Lanfranchi and Filippo Beccari. In the women's field, Alba De Silvestro from Belluno will compete with her companion from Valtellina Giulia Murada, then Ilaria Veronese with Mara Martini and Elena Nicolini with Katia Tomatis, without forgetting the two home athletes Corinna Ghirardi and Bianca Balzarini. In total, therefore, over 160 couples, with the starting list that is being defined and which confirms the quota that the organizers of the Adamello Ski Team had set, also to manage the health protocols on Covid. Precisely for this reason, as well as for the closure of the mountain huts, the race course has also changed. In fact, it will measure 34 km, with 3,180 meters of altitude difference for the men's race and the higher passages are planned at the 2,610 meters of Passo Paradiso, then to the 2,860 meters of the Seletta Sgualdrina, to the 3,000 meters of Passo Presena, and again to the 2,400 meters of the Lake Mandrone, at 2,990 of Passo Tre Denti. The descents are also spectacular and technical, above all the Devil's Pit in the first part of the race, then the final descent towards the finish line. And then the suggestion of the passage in the military gallery for the perfectly snow-covered occasion also inside. The nerve center of the Adamello Ski Raid will be the Palazzo dello Sport in Pontedilegno, where accreditation is expected from Friday 9 April, and then the briefing at 6 pm. On Saturday morning the men's race will start at 7am right near the building, while the start of the women's race is scheduled for 7.30am from Passo Tonale. First arrivals scheduled for 10 am.
