The dates of the skialp in 2022/23: a lot of Italy between CdM, EYOF in Friuli and the World long distance on Adamello

Ski mountaineering is experiencing a really important escalation and Italy is the absolute protagonist both with the results, just think of another men's World Cup won with Michele Boscacci, both at an organizational level with the apex and it will be reached in less than 4 years, when Milan-Cortina 2026 will host the historic Olympic debut of the discipline, on the occasion of the Games in Italy. In the past few hours, the ISMF (International Ski Mountaineering Federation) has made official all the dates for the 2022/23 season, which will experience the highlight with the world championships scheduled on the Spanish snows of Boi Taull, in the heart of the Pyrenees, from 23 February 2023. In Italy there will be the long distance team World Cup, which will start on Saturday 25 March 2023 in Pontedilegno-Tonale, in the wonderful scenery of the Adamello, but also the 2023 edition of the EYOF, the European Youth Olympic Festival, hosted from 24 January in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The World Cup will start on the weekend of 25-27 November in the French mountains of Val Thorens, in Haute-Savoie, then the second round with the very classic Adamello, on 16-17 December in Pontedilegno-Tonale (which will bis after 3 months, in fact, with the world championship event). At the beginning of 2023, the maximum circuit will move to Switzerland, in Morgins from 11 January for the third stage, to continue with the appointment of La Massana, in Andorra from 21 to 23 January. The cup will return to Italy with the Val Martello stage, for the “Marmotta Trophy” on February 16-19, an appetizer before the start of the Boi Taull World Championships. Grand finale to award the crystal ball between Schladming, with the Austrian event on 17-18 March, and the Norwegian trip to Tromso on 12 April, although this date will have to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
