The ski mountaineering World Cup finals, scheduled from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 March in Madonna di Campiglio, will be under the banner of eco-sustainability. The event that will assign the crystal balls of the 2020/2021 season will be under the Eco-Eventi Trentino brand. An added value for the event, which affects the territory of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park and the Brenta Dolomites, recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. The award of the Eco-Eventi Trentino label is subject to compliance with certain rules and requirements, such as the administration of tap water, which in an area like that of Madonna di Campiglio is particularly good and allows you to avoid use and disposal of plastic bottles. Another requirement to be respected is that of separate collection, putting all the subjects who gravitate around the event in the conditions of being able to do it, therefore the controlled administration of food, to avoid any type of waste, the accommodation of guests near the places of interest of the event, aimed at creating a minimum impact on transport and related pollution. The granting of the brand is also subject to the proposal of local and even vegetarian dishes, to the appointment of a sustainability manager, as well as to an environmental information work, which also implies a training course for all those involved in the event. To this are added a series of optional actions, such as the one - adopted by the Campigliano organizing committee - to reduce the use of paper and, if necessary, to use only recycled paper, with double-sided prints. The World Cup finals will return to Madonna di Campiglio for the fifth time, after the successful editions of 2007, 2008, 2018 and 2019, preceding the forced cancellation of last year, due to the pandemic still in progress. The organizing committee, which involves the tested staff of the 3Tre Committee and the Apt of Madonna di Campiglio Pinzolo Val Rendena, is ready to once again guarantee the best possible race scenario for the best skialpers in the senior, under 23 and junior categories. , which will play the absolute and specialty crystal balls (sprint, vertical race and individual race). The sprint test will open the program, with the Azzurri expected to be protagonists since Thursday 25 March. On Friday 26th it will be the turn of the vertical races, on Saturday 27th the athletes will be able to recharge their batteries, in view of the individual competition on Sunday 28th March which will give life to the 46th edition of the Ski Alp Race Dolomiti di Brenta.
