Bardonecchia is ready to inaugurate the 2018/2019 winter season with a new track, the blue Chesal - Melezet track. The route will allow skiers to use the Melezet area which from the Chesal, at an altitude of 1805, leads to the Plana resort at the start of the chair lift. This is the completion of a project that gives everyone, even the less experienced, the opportunity to move easily between the slopes of the Colomion and Melezet and fully enjoy the entire ski area.

After the new "6GIGANTE" chair lift at the Jafferau, inaugurated in December 2017, work began on the high-altitude part of the Melezet area. The planning and authorization phases for the modernization of two macro areas have been started: the Selletta and the Bosco / Vallon Cros / Seba. The project involves the construction of new plants and new slopes.
The first system of this complete reorganization of the Selletta area has already been bought and procured and it is a quad-seat chairlift with a dome that will serve the Chesal-Selletta axis, replacing the ski lift and the two-seater chair lift of the same name in the 2019 / 20. As regards the area of ​​the Wood / Vallon cros / Seba, work is underway to make the approach at high altitude possible with aerial cableway transport systems (replacing the homonymous ski lifts).
The Bosco and Vallon Cros ski-lifts will not be available for the 2018/19 season due to long and complex authorization phases, which have expired due to a regulatory vacuum caused by the governmental rotation of the previous year, while it will continue to the Seba system can be used, which allows you to reach Punta Seba in m. 2263 of altitude.
Work has also started on the construction of the new "Alpine Coaster" in the Colomion area. This is a rail track that can be used with a 2-seater bob. Great fun for everyone, adults and children, who can experience the mountains with a different perspective, an important expansion of the Bardonecchia play area.
Finally, a project was implemented to implement the Melezet snow park area in the Selletta area, identified as more suitable for morphological characteristics and snowmaking, with a first phase that will develop during this winter season and then end with the next 2019 / 2020.
Thanks to the abundant snowfalls of the last days, the Jafferau facilities will open this weekend, Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 December, and will then reopen the following weekend.
