2015 & egrave; a very important year for Breuil Cervinia Valtournenche and dell''alpinismo history: the 150th anniversary of the first ascent of the Matterhorn accomplished by Edward Whymper from the Swiss side and Jean Antoine Carrel from the Italian side.

This morning in Milan c '' & egrave; was the press conference of presentation of the many events planned to celebrate this important anniversary. & nbsp;
The Matterhorn, the land, the mountains, the men and their story will be the real protagonists in many events with an international flavor. Italy and Switzerland, the two countries that share the 'anniversary of what is called "the pi & ugrave; noble rock' Europe", have joined together to tell stories and characters of these 150 years of achievements and ascents.
Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche will become the fulcrum of activities & agrave; to promote the area and Zermatt in Serbia has a full calendar of events and parties with a week dedicated July 10 to 18 year 2015.
A Cervinia initiatives are really varied. It starts gi & agrave; in February with concerts and exhibitions to get to the major celebrations scheduled during the month of July, when the powerful headlights illuminate the Great Becca overnight to celebrate its' uniqueness & agrave; and majesty & agrave ;.
In the program there are also concerts, fireworks and a long white night, scheduled for July 16, wait for the date dell''anniversario the next day. On July 17 it will celebrate & agrave; the 'summit meeting in 4478 meters between the guides of the valley and those of Valtournenche Zermatt: a meeting, a hug between mountaineers in love with the mountains and the Matterhorn. & nbsp;
To tell these initiatives today c''erano representatives of Cervinia, Zermatt and Valtournenche and as the guest of 'honor, Herv & egrave; Barmasse, valdostano climber, mountain guide, man image of the Valle d''Aosta for Expo 2015 but, above all, true and authentic example of contemporary mountaineering. Herv & egrave; ties his personal history and that of his family at the Matterhorn: here & egrave; grew up and, after climbing almost anywhere in the world, now back on the mountain of the house who loves and respects pi & ugrave; than anything else. & Nbsp; & nbsp;
