Last June, 50 sensors were installed on the Swiss side, at an altitude of 3692 meters, to monitor the stability of the Cervino rock that could change its conformation over time due to the global warming that is leading to the crumbling of the mountain.

Already in 2003 there were several landslides that with the passing of the years have become more frequent. The first landslide occurred on 5 August 16 years ago and struck the "Corda della Alarm" section. The second took place on 18 August of the same year taking away the passage near the Refuge Jean-Antoine Carrel, "Cheminée", also destroying the Capanna Luigi Amedeo di Savoia.

Campitello Matese, sciare in Molise a due ore da Roma
