In a report by the Valle d'Aosta TGR which was broadcast last week, the ascent that the Swedish agencies are giving to the hotels in Breil-Cervinia has been illustrated.

Linetti: who is against says that the Swedes are invading Cervinia by buying the historic hotels of the famous locality at the foot of the Matterhorn, who supports that through these acquisitions arrive new tourists from Scandinavia, brought by the charter of their agencies, and the operators build structures respecting the local architectural criteria.
"I believe they can organize flights with airplanes - says Jean-Antoine Maquignaz, the mayor of Valtournenche, of which Cervinia is a fraction -, and then bring new guests to Breuil-Cervinia. This is important: new guests entering the station and buying their tickets for skiing, shopping in shops, restaurants and bars. The doubt that someone has these large hotel facilities can take the market away from the station ".
The north tourism market in Cervinia has been active for decades but is being structured differently in particular from 2015 with the purchase of Hotel Marmore by Sts Alpresor. The agency also bought the Albergo Ristorante Breithorn which for now uses as a basis for its staff. Meanwhile, in addition to the restaurant inside the Hotel Marmore, it is building another one, right in front of the hotel, in place of a structure that the mayor has defined as "not valuable", while the part of rascard (wooden building) typical of the Alps, ed) will be recovered.
"We try to put the accent on tradition - says Wolfgang Meier, director of the Hotel Marmore -. We do not want to change anything from an architectural point of view. We want to leave everything as it was before, of course we respect the modern safety standards but without betraying the tradition ".
It is news of the last weeks the arrival of another agency that has purchased part of the Cervino Spa area where a new hotel with 800 beds will be built and parking spaces that will also be used by the municipality. But the increase in beds anyway is not new, indeed, it is a necessity, as the mayor Maquignaz says: "We must however think that in order to keep the plants in place at the end, therefore also by the Region, the plants must make, and to make must have more guests. Already in our urban development plan that was closed two years ago in the tourism development plan, there was an increase of 6000 beds ".
