Cortina d’Ampezzo for the winter of 2020 will be presenting the Freccia nel Cielo gondola with automatic coupling with 50 vehicles of 10 seats and an intermediate station in Colfiere. The plant will carry up to a maximum of 1800 people per hour for a journey of 2168 meters and a drop of 556 meters. The valley station with bar area and a new ski pass office will also be renovated.

The completion of the "Olympia", "Vertigine", "Druscié A and B" slopes is also planned in view of the 2020 World Cup final. Mondo and the "Stries" connection track which is the return track of the Tofane ski area will also be enlarged.
The cableway connection project between Pocol and Cinque Torri was also approved in early September, one of the works that are part of the third level of the Infrastructure Plan envisaged for the World Cup.
An investment of around 18 million euros is planned for the construction of the plant. The cable car, which will connect Son dei Prade with Bai de Dones, will be 8 seats and will be able to transport 1100 people per hour.
There will be a total of 70 cabins and an intermediate station is also planned. The plant should be ready by December 2020 and will be operational for the Cortina World Cup 2021.
