The Corriere delle Alpi website reports that the initiative is based "on the formula of public-private partnerships and the fundamental role will be played by the Vascellari family, which manages the Tofana and Marmolada plants." For 2021 the first trunk should be replaced of the current Tofana-Freccia nel Cielo cableway with the new gondola lift that will start from the Olympic ice stadium and will arrive in Col Drusciè, with an intermediate station in Colfiere to serve the arrival area of ​​the slalom races and the arrival of Rumerlo which will be reached on foot in 10 minutes.
The cabins of the new plant will have a capacity of 10 people will allow you to touch the maximum capacity of 1800 users per hour, against the 600 of the current cableway, then the triple. The second section will allow skiers to get off on the slopes A and B of Col Drusciè and the Forcella Rossa, the current Colfiere-Col Drusciè chairlift will then be dismantled. The first section will instead serve to transport the spectators and technicians to the arrival of the World Cup races, thus reducing to a minimum the traffic on the road and ensuring a quick access from the Pearl of the Dolomites to the Tofane area.
