During the weekend of Easter - March 25 to 27 & ndash; Cortina d & rsquo; Ampezzo will be held & agrave; The sixth edition of & rsquo; now famous festival dedicated to freeride skiing, stop on the world circuit of the Freeride World Qualifier and only Italian date of the Freeride Junior Tour.

The FWQ & egrave; l & rsquo; antechamber of the Freeride World Tour, they compete with the best athletes of the world's freeride scene. Designed to promote the sport and develop young talent, the qualifying tour combines 60 events held around the world, classified by a system 1 to 4 stars (conferred based on the characteristics of the place of & rsquo; event and the race) and by geographic region. The stage curtain & egrave; rated 3 stars.
In the same vein, the Freeride Junior Tour & egrave; It was conceived as a platform for the emergence of promising youngsters between 14 and 17 years, in order that & egrave; they can gain experience and become the champions of tomorrow.
L & rsquo; event is a collaboration between the Ski Club 18, the Alpine Guides of Cortina and the Squirrels Group, three historical associations in Cortina represent the & rsquo; excellence in winter sports and in & rsquo; mountaineering. It takes dall''idea foot of a group of friends and every year adds events and side events. The event quest & rsquo; year will be held & agrave; between Cortina d & rsquo; Ampezzo Faloria and 5 Torri.
Among the activities & agrave; planning a bouldering competition (sport climbing) that takes place in the center, and the Trofeo Squirrels, a ski mountaineering race. The ease & agrave; access to the sites and the rich program of music and events closer to the event an increasingly & ugrave number; wider audience, including non-skiers.
The race will be held Junior & agrave; on Saturday, while on Sunday sar & agrave; the turn of the Freeride World Qualifier.
