The new 10-seater cable car connects the Tofane to the 5 Torri in 15 minutes.

At Christmas, the new Cortina Skyline cable car in Cortina d'Ampezzo was inaugurated. The plant, built by the Leitner company, joins the Tofane (Son dei Prade) and the 5 Torri (Bai de Dones), with an intermediate station in Cianzopè, and covers a height difference of 242 meters in a journey of over 4.5 kilometers.
Cortina Skiworld puts its signature on an important page for the whole territory, as the name and logo of the new facility recall: the cabins, in fact, alternate one logo with the profile of the 5 towers to another with that of the Tofane. Even the name, Skyline, is evocative: if it normally indicates the profile of the landscape outlined by the buildings of a city and their highest points, here the real spiers are the tops of the mountains. But the objectives of the cableway point even further, beyond aesthetics and sport: among the declared intentions of the cableway there is in fact that of reducing traffic on the Falzarego pass, and of interpreting the ski lifts as real means of alternative transport to cars, in winter as in summer. The wise man always says that happiness is the path, not the goal, and he cannot be blamed. Even if, in this case, the goal is also extraordinary, and from today even a little greener.
To move in an even more sustainable way, Se.Am. has activated a bus service that connects the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo (Piazza Roma) with the departure of the new Skyline system (Son dei Prade), operated by line 3. For those who do not have a ski pass, it is possible to buy a ticket for the Son dei Prade - Bai de Dones route directly to Son dei Prade station.
