On Alpe Cimbra, winter is family-friendly. Children can have fun among the many activities that the area offers: on the slopes supervised by highly qualified ski instructors, in the school pitches. in the welcoming and warm kindergartens in the company of entertainers, in the baby parks of Folgaria and Lavarone where they can go downhill with sledges, rafts, miniquads and meet very likeable characters such as the little witch Perty, the elf FliFlick and Manny, rides on the splendid snow train, games inflatables, snow-covered trails, tubing trails, events, parties, competitions, games, bike striders, i.e. small bikes without pedals and with mini skis mounted under the wheels. And if you want to try a different sport than usual, fun is guaranteed at the Disc Golf Park, the first in Europe to open in winter.
Among the other experiences to be enjoyed as a family, there is no shortage of snowshoe hikes on non-demanding routes, educational farms where children can discover how animals live, how food products are born and what the trades of mountain people are. The farms also offer a rich program of activities and educational workshops related to the rural world thanks to which children will learn how to make butter and ricotta cheese, milk the milk, take the goats for a walk, and create wonderful objects using wood, wool and hay.
Learning to ski in the Folgaria and Lavarone ski area is really a game. The instructors of the five ski schools in the area will accompany the children to take their first steps in joy and safety in the beautiful school camps of the area: "magic carpets", individual and group courses for young skiers, snacks in the refuge. The schools, where teachers include federal coaches and former athletes, offer not only ski courses, but also snowboard and telemark courses. In particular, snowboard enthusiasts can contact the Fifty50 Snowboard Academy, an official partner of FSI (Italian Snowboard Federation), which offers targeted courses to improve one's technique with the utmost professionalism.
What distinguishes Alpe Cimbra from other locations? Alpe Cimbra is an inclusive ski area, it is one of the first mountain destinations to have developed an accessible holiday proposal and it is the best 4All destination in Trentino and in Italy. The lifts in the ski area are equipped with turnstiles and access facilities and suitably trained personnel. Nordic skiing can be practiced in the splendid setting of the two cross-country ski centers of Passo Coe and Millegrobbe which boast more than 80 km of snow-covered slopes, of varying difficulty and suitable for everyone, and made even more perfect by the professional work of the staff. In the Passo Coe Cross Country Center there are various FISI approved routes for national and international competitions and all the rings are prepared for the classic technique and skating. The Centro Fondo di Passo Coe is also completely accessible thanks to the numerous reserved parking spaces, accessible services such as bars and restaurants as well as rental, ski school and access to the slopes. The Center of Millegrobbe, on the other hand, offers 50 km of slopes at 1400 m a.s.l. and has a snow-making system programmed for about 2 km of the route. At the start of the slopes is the welcoming “1000Gocce” wellness center with its large panoramic sauna overlooking the ski slopes.
