Garessio 2000 is preparing for the new winter season. Goals for the future? Restore the chair lift that will remain closed at the moment.

It is called Chioni s.r.l. the company that since last season has been managing the ski resort of Garessio 2000, the small Piedmontese ski resort in the province of Cuneo that, despite the difficulties and lack of programmed snowmaking, tries to offer a satisfying product to ski enthusiasts.
"We signed a 3 year plus 2 contract for the management of the Garessio 2000 plants - explains Lorenzo Bollito, one of the partners of Chioni s.r.l. - We would like to open the plants on December 7th, even earlier if conditions permit. The two Praietto and Giassetti skilifts will be in operation. The station will be open every weekend, including Monday, the Christmas period every day (from 21 December to 6 January), and the Carnival week, always every day (from 22 February to 1 March). The facilities will be open from 9am until 4.30pm â€.
"Until now we have carried out a promotional activity for the purchase of seasonal ski passes at a discounted price - continues Lorenzo Bollito -. During the winter season, the daily ski pass will cost 16 euros for adults, 13 euros for seniors over 65 and 12 euros for boys. Children born in 2014 and subsequent years will instead be able to take advantage of the free daily and seasonal ski pass. For the little ones who want to learn to ski there is a school camp with four ski instructors available. ".
"Our goal for the coming years - concludes Lorenzo Bollito - is to restore the chairlift. If we could put it back into operation it would open up a world, because we would go from the current 15 km of ski slopes to about 25 km. In addition, the chairlift leads to a mountain hut located at high altitude. We will also focus on the summer season for bike lovers if the chairlift is reactivated. We really believe in this small ski resort ".
