Austria opens its borders. The summer ski season has started in Hintertux

In Hintertux, lifts open to everyone for summer skiing. Austria restarts with tourism.

From today, Monday 19 May, Austria opens its borders and starts again with tourism with the opening of hotels, restaurants, recreational activities, museums. You then return to skiing in Hintertux where the following lifts operate: 8er sommerberg, Gletscherbus 1 and 2, 4er Fernerhaus, 10er Gefrorene Wand, Olperer 1 and 2 and 6er Lärmstange 2. To go to Austria it is not necessary to carry out quarantine. In the accommodation facilities, the negative swab carried out in the 7 days prior to entry into Austria is required, or a vaccination certificate or a certificate attesting to having previously been positive for the covid. In closed vehicles such as gondola lifts, cable cars and chairlifts with lowered domes, from 15 years of age it is mandatory to wear the FFP2 mask. Any type of mask can be used for children aged 7 to 14, while under 6 the use of a mask is not mandatory. Closed lifts, including the domed chairlifts, travel with a maximum capacity of 50%. Ski passes can be purchased both on site at the ticket offices, both online and at the automatic ticket machines.
