How does the cable feasibility study develop?
The topic of the cable car is at the center of the political debate. The feasibility study we have proposed is divided into three parts: the first part is financial; The second part concerns the relays that the cableway would have on the city of Trento. In this regard, the plant should not only be seen in winter, but also in summer and for all other seasons. The mountain has to live 365 days a year. Tourists and citizens could take the cable car not only to go skiing, but also to go for a walk, sunbathe, bicycle ride, escape from the heat, see Trento from the top, the Brenta mountain range and Then a whole series of activities we are trying to bring to Monte Bondone. The third part of the study is focused on the journey. There are still doubts about where to start the cable car. We have thought of three intermediate stations: Sardagna, Vaneze and Vason. The upstream station would be set at 1,600 meters. The first two parts of the study were concluded. Missing the look of the journey. Only when it is ready will we make the study known.
What are the costs for the installation?
The cable car would cost around 30 million, while operating costs would be around 1 and 2.5 million a year. For management costs I intend to use the cable car for 365 days, from 7 am to 8 pm, and the use of facilities such as restaurants, bars and car parks. One finds a private person who puts at least 1/3 of the expense, finds a rope of private people who support the work, funding from the municipality and a contribution from the citizens. Some people have already been interested.
What are the advantages of carrying out the cable car?
A survey of Trentino Development has since been conducted, with very optimistic conclusions: 30% more attendance, 25% increase in tourist spending, 20% increase in real estate on Monte Bondone, 15 places Fixed work for the cable car, from 200 to 300 indirect jobs due to the greater work of shops, hotels and renovations because Monte Bondone would become a source of investment. It would move all the induced around the building. They are affected by millions. This is an infrastructure that would bring many more advantages than disadvantages. Currently we have entrusted a new study to evaluate these aspects also at the Faculty of Economics in Trento.
In addition to the cable car, how do you intend to relaunch Monte Bondone?
Our big bet is to relaunch Monte Bondone 365 days a year. It has all the features. We are planning the construction of two basketball courts, safely setting up ski-mountaineering routes, a bike park, expanding a rock-climbing gymnasium, enlarging the school camp as well as revaluing some mythical slopes that have been abandoned. We also upgraded the snowpark. We want to relaunch Monte Bondone by batting both on simple things like those just listed and on more strategic things like the cable car.
