In its full configuration, the ski area is described as having approximately 18 km of slopes, distributed roughly between the 1,040-metre altitude of the Piazzale del Nevegal and the 1,675 metres of Col Toront. However, this figure refers to the historic ski area and should not be confused with the offer actually available in recent seasons, which has been significantly more limited and variable depending on snowfall and the technical authorisations for the lifts.

The best-known run is the Coca, divided into the Coca Alta and Coca Bassa sections: a varied slope, with interesting gradients in the upper part and more accessible passages as it approaches the piazzale. Coca Bassa is floodlit and helped make Nevegal one of Italy’s pioneering resorts for night skiing. The historic ski area also includes more technical slopes, such as the Erte and the runs on Col Toront, while the Campo Scuola is dedicated to children and beginners.

Nevegal is particularly suitable for families, beginners and ski-club activities. When fully available, the Coca and Toront slopes can also be enjoyable for intermediate and advanced skiers, thanks to their steep walls, changes in gradient and significant vertical drop relative to the size of the resort. Its limited extent and the current reduction of the skiable area make it primarily a destination for a day on the snow or for training, rather than for a week-long ski holiday.

The lifts consist mainly of fixed-grip chairlifts and ski lifts: functional installations, but not particularly modern or fast. In recent seasons, not all the lifts and runs shown on the historic piste map have been open. During the 2025/2026 winter, activity was concentrated mainly on Campo Scuola, Coca Alta, Coca Bassa and the connecting route, with openings during some periods limited to the days from Thursday to Sunday.

Before planning a day’s skiing, it is therefore advisable to check the operator’s website to see which slopes and lifts are actually available. The relatively low altitude makes Nevegal sensitive to temperature and precipitation trends, although snowmaking makes it possible to maintain operations on the main slopes during favourable weather windows.

Alongside alpine skiing, the resort offers ski mountaineering, with evenings dedicated to uphill travel along controlled routes, snowboarding, Academy activities and a sledging area. A recent feature is the approximately 300-metre-long synthetic slope, which can be used for lessons and training even in the absence of snow.

Nevegal retains an important summer vocation. During certain periods, the chairlift is used to reach routes dedicated to mountain biking and downhill, while hikers and families can follow the trails towards Rifugio Bristot, Monte Faverghera and Col Visentin. Trekking, trail running, cycling, paragliding and a visit to the Botanical Garden of the Eastern Alps complete the offering of a mountain close to the city and accessible throughout the year.
