8849 meters, like the height of the queen of the mountains: Everest. This is the goal that Yanez Borella and Enzo Romeri, athletes and sport ambassadors of Dolomiti Paganella have set themselves for their next challenge, who will leave on February 13th for "Everesting Paganella", a course of 8849 meters to be tackled on skis of mountaineering and that will develop along the slopes and slopes of some of the most beautiful Trentino mountains.

The undertaking, which will start at the first light of dawn and will end in about 14 hours, was designed and will be built with the support of the Paganella ski area, which in recent months, despite the imposed closures from the health emergency, it has continued to care for, support and enhance the territory, and of the Apt Dolomiti Paganella, which will coordinate the logistical part of the project, such as the organization of shelters.
"This project is an opportunity for us to test ourselves but, above all, to enhance and promote the place where we live and train every day", explain Yanez Borella and Enzo Romeri. The two athletes have been training together since 2011 and in 2020 they have already covered the Trentino part of the Path of Peace in just 7 days, the path that connects the places of memory following the front line of the First World War. “We don't want to set a record, but to make our mountains known with the support of friends and local realities”.
"Our territory offers natural wonders and extraordinary experiences: Yanez and Enzo remind us once again with this sporting feat", says Luca d’Angelo, Destination Manager of Dolomiti Paganella. "In order not to be caught unprepared, the Dolomiti Paganella area has never stopped in recent months: we have continued to work behind the scenes despite the lifts closed to the public to ensure that the area and the slopes are safe for them to use. sport events".
In fact, the slopes of the area are available to the Paganella "Paganella Ski Team" and the Norwegian National Ski Team as a basis for training and therefore are always groomed, prepared as if the ski area were open. The path of Yanez Borella and Enzo Romeri will develop entirely on the slopes and the two athletes will be accompanied throughout the day by a snowmobile.
"Finally, also with regard to the hygiene and health regulations to counter the Covid-19 risk, we are setting up facilities and shelters while waiting to reopen to everyone in complete safety", adds Luca d'Angelo.
