With an official statement from S.I.F.A.S., the opening of the "Passo Stelvio-Trincerone" cable car on the Lombard glacier has been postponed to a later date.

It would have been tomorrow, Saturday 12 June, the date of the reopening of the Stelvio Pass for summer skiing (currently open only for agonists); instead, we will still have to wait.
A press release from S.I.F.A.S. arrived this morning. (Società Impianti Funiviari allo Stelvio), in which the postponement of the opening of the "Passo Stelvio-Trincerone" cable car was announced. Furthermore, the reasons for the postponement of the opening, cited in the press release, concern the modernization interventions on the plant, for which a response is expected from Rome, from the headquarters of the Ministry of Transport, after the acceptance tests with positive outcome carried out by the Ministry of Transport - Usitf Lombardia.
Currently, on the Stelvio glacier, only those who are authorized can ski, ie agonists or athletes of the national teams. The official website of the ski resort is currently under maintenance, which is why it is difficult to have information regarding an upcoming opening of the ski lifts.
