Pian Muné - Valle Po

Pian Munè offers a natural setting suitable for families and mountain and relaxation enthusiasts, in a friendly and comfortable environment.   A mountain hut at 1,530 m, located at the lifts’ departure point near the ticket office, and a chalet at 1,900 m meet the needs of those who want to take a break between runs.  The resort, much appreciated by ski mountaineers, also has an off-piste route for freeride enthusiasts.

The ski area extends between 1,530 and 2,060 metres above sea level. In addition to the two magic carpets in the beginners’ areas, the slopes are served by the Pian Croesio two-seater chairlift and the historic Fontanone ski lift: traditional lifts that suit the resort’s compact dimensions. The runs are mainly easy and intermediate, ideal for families and intermediate skiers, although the upper section also offers more technical and interesting slopes. In 2026, the project to replace the Fontanone ski lift was approved.

Pian Munè is also popular in summer, when the chairlift provides easier access to the Pian Croesio basin and the network of signposted routes for hikers and mountain bikers. Among the most characteristic destinations are the Fontanone viewpoint, the Luset Lakes and Testa di Garitta Nuova, at 2,385 metres, on the watershed between Valle Po and Valle Varaita. Shorter routes for children and families, woodland walks and numerous events organized by the two mountain huts are also available.

Paesana is one of the most important centres in Valle Po and is easily reachable from both Turin and Cuneo. From its territory, it is possible to take in the entire Monviso range, with its imposing and rugged faces.  Paesana and its hamlets remained outside mass tourism for many years and have preserved the character of a genuine mountain village. It is possible to spend days immersed in nature,  such as at the ancient settlement of Balma Boves, with its homes built into the caves, or at the remote Sanctuary of Madonna di Oriente near the hamlet of Croesio.
