Kronplatz, the new one for the upcoming winter season

For the next winter season, the Kronplatz ski region of South Tyrol, between the Val Badia and the Val Pusteria, will present two important novelties: the Sonne chairlift and some modifications to the snowpark.

The new lifts, which will replace the existing one, will have six seats and will be equipped with safety domes, heated seats, individual footrests and child safety devices on each chair. The chairlift will be built by Leitner Ropeways and can carry up to 2600 passengers per hour. So far as concerns the snowpark located on the Belvedere track, remodeling works will be carried out to allow for a reduction in the amount of snow required for the same snowpark and anticipate its start up. For the Fall 2018, however, the inauguration of the Photo Mountain Art Museum will be inaugurated, which will be housed in the building that until the mid 80's served as a station upstream of the Plan de Corones cable car. It would be the second museum at 2000 meters high after the one made by Reinhold Messner. The exhibition project includes a modern and multimedia setting, consisting of three floors with an exhibition area of 1600 square meters, plus 200 square meters for a restaurant and another 200 for a congress hall.
