The new eight-seater chairlift will replace the four-seater chairlift of the same name which has been in operation since 1993.

In the Speikboden ski area, work is being done to replace the Seenock four-seater chairlift with an eight-seater chairlift, signed by Leitner, equipped with a protective dome and heated seats.
"The detachable 4-seater 'Seenock' chairlift with protective dome was built in 1993 and was one of the most modern lifts of the time - explains Martin Unterweger, Director of Speikboden AG - The lift transported a total of approx. 26 million skiers in the last 29 winters. Since the next overhaul was due to take place in 2023 and the chairlift is the most important lift for the SpeiKboden ski area, the board of directors decided to replace the 4-person chairlift. seats with an 8-seater chairlift with automatic coupling with protective dome and heated seats from the Leitner company ".
"In addition to the protective dome and the luxurious heated seats, the new chairlift is equipped with a conveyor belt that, depending on the height of the children, raises or lowers to facilitate their ascent and make access more comfortable for young skiers. . The bar remains locked during the ascent and opens automatically when entering the mountain station, thus offering families maximum safety in using the chairlift. Construction work is proceeding according to plan and we are convinced that we will be able to to start the plant already at the beginning of the winter season 2022/23 ”concludes the Director, Martin Unterweger.
The new ski lift will have the valley station located at 1958 meters above sea level and the top station at 2251 meters above sea level. It will be able to transport 3,400 people per hour with a speed of 5 m / s.
