The “Cinque Confini†cross-country ski run of Terminillo, a small ski resort in Lazio in the province of Rieti, has obtained national homologation by Fisi.

"We are extremely satisfied with this latest achievement in the Terminillo rebirth - the Mayor of Rieti, Antonio Cicchetti, the sports councilor, Roberto Donati, the President of the Province, Mariano Calisse, and the provincial councilor responsible for sport, declare Simone Fratini - Approval by the FISI is a fundamental step for the relaunch of Terminillo because it will allow us to host regional and national events linked to cross-country skiing. Among our objectives was to be able to transform Terminillo into a reference center for cross-country skiing, at least for Central Italy, and this approval allows us to take an important step in this direction. This is another piece added to the Terminillo revitalization path which aims to create economy and presences also thanks to sports tourism. We thank the Provincial FISI President, Sandro Anselmicchio, and the FISI certified homologator, Enrico Faraglia, for their strong collaboration.
At the Terminillo there are also three downhill pistes approved for international competitions.

La Valmalenco offre uno dei comprensori sciistici più panoramici della Valtellina, sviluppato principalmente nella conca dell’Alpe Palù e circondato dalle grandi montagne del gruppo del Bernina. Boschi di conifere, ampi pendii in quota e il lago Palù compongono un ambiente alpino ancora relativamente integro, con vedute che spaziano verso il Pizzo Scalino, il Monte Disgrazia e le cime che separano la valle dall’Engadina.
