Countdown to the Winter X-Games in Tignes

The program includes a total of 8 races, 4 male and 4 female, distributed over the three days available: Ski SuperPipe, Snowboard SuperPipe, Slopestyle Ski and Snowboard Slopestyle. The entrance to the public is strictly free, factor that has facilitated the dissemination and allowed in 2012 to exceed 100,000 at the event. Recent Winter X Games in Aspen, played in January, have made the world aware of the fourteen year old Ayumu Hirano who won the silver medal in the Snowboard SuperPipe competition, while at the Snowboard Slopestyle Mark McMorris has established itself by winning the gold medal with the highest score in the history of the X Games .
Ski Superpipe category was won by David Wise who performed in a rightside 7, double switch, rightside 9, double cork 12, and an alley-oop flatpspin 5, while in the Ski Slopestyle, was Nick Goepper to win the gold.
