Fuller calendar for snowboard cross: the new addition from Bergamo has also been officially added

A more full-bodied calendar than the only six races held last year, even if the unknown factors related to Coronavirus will lead the FIS to officially confirm it only in the autumn congress. The next season of the world snowboard cross, defined in video conference by the sub-commission of the international federation, presents itself with a lot of news and the most awaited one concerning Italy. As we had presented in detail on NEVEITALIA, the Bergamo stage received the ok and therefore the inclusion in the World Cup calendar for the weekend of 16-17 January 2021, historic debut in the heart of a city and home of Michela Moioli for a double sprint race at individual and team level, the third round of a season that will start as usual on the Austrian snow of Montafon, on 11-12 December. Cervinia was again placed before Christmas, with the race (where Moioli and Sommariva triumphed in 2019) scheduled for December 19, and after Bergamo here is the trip to Canada again (January 23-24 with an individual and a team race), although the location is still to be defined after competing in Big White last January. Closing of January in St. Lary, France, on the 30th and 31st always with double event, then in February two more weekends with individual and team competition between Feldberg (on the 6th and 7th of the month) and the Czech resort of Dolni Morava (13-14). The world races in China will be held on the 20th for the individual tests and the following day for the team, finally in March the appointment in Baqueira Beret (March 6th) for the penultimate race in the Pyrenees and the classic closing of Veysonnaz, on March 20th . Total? Nine individual and six team competitions. SKICROSS CALENDAR The provisional calendar of the Ski Cross World Cup for the 2020/21 season has also been defined. Departure scheduled again in Val Thorens on December 5, then from the French Alps we will go to Arosa ten days later. San Candido will host two races as usual, for the Italian stage scheduled for 19-20 December (qualifying on 18). If possible, North American trip on the Canadian snows of Nakiska for the race on January 16, then in Sweden for the one-two of Idre (23-24 January), the same in Feldberg (Germany) on 30-31 of the same month. In February, the novelty of Bakuriani, Georgia, on Sunday 7 February, then it will be up to the Chinese world championships in Zhangjiakou with the races on February 18.
