Only a disqualification has denied Raffaella Brutto and Michela Moioli the chance to win a medal in the pairs competition of the women's snowboard cross.

Raffaella in the final came in contact with American Lindsey Jacobellis and fell sweeping a door, then it is divided and, once crossed the finish line, he left Michela finishing third behind the two French couples Nelly Moenne-LOCCOZ and Chloe Trespeuch , gold, and Marion Petit and Charlotte Bankes, silver. But the jury took away the blue bronze for port jump by handing it the bronze Jacobellis and Faye Gulini.
In the men's competition the gold was won by US Hagen Kearney and Nick Baumgartner, silver by the Spanish hosts Lucas Eguibar and Regino Hernandez, bronze by Canadian Kevin Hill and Christopher Robanske, quarters Austrian Markus Schairer and Alessandro Hämmerle. The two blue pairs formed by Luca Matteotti and Omar Visintin and Thomas Leoni and Emanuel Perathoner were in the same quarter-final and were immediately eliminated.
