Super Moioli and the winning start, the story at Poligono 360: "Now the World Championships, on a track I like"

The champion of snowboard cross, first and fourth in the opening of the World Cup in Valmalenco, is already thinking about the world championship appointment. He talked about it with Dario Puppo and Massimiliano Ambesi ...

A "Polygon 360" to celebrate Michela Moioli and her great start of the season, with the victory on her debut in the snowboard cross CdM which, last Saturday, saw the Bergamo woman start the defense of her crystal ball in a great way, then finish in 4th place in the second appointment on the snows of Chiesa in Valmalenco. Michela spoke about it on the occasion of the Eurosport study, edited by Dario Puppo and Massimiliano Ambesi, already thinking about the snowboard cross world championships, next seasonal appointment in Sweden. "Having to wait so long was perhaps the most difficult challenge of this year - explained the Olympic champion in reference to the continuous cancellations that led the cup to start almost at the end of January - It was tough, but it was worth it the penalty also because I had never won on the debut and I'm happy with the performance in general, despite the 4th place on Sunday ”. The applause to the organization of Valmalenco ("it was wonderful to start at home and, somehow with the start section already planned, there was a piece of the races scheduled in Bergamo"), which among other things saw athletes sponsored by the Valtellina station get weight results with Sommariva 3rd and Belingheri 5th in the first race on Saturday, and an anecdote about the pre-race weeks. “We weren't okay with the boards, we realized they were slow, but somehow we went back to the old material and I won with that. On Saturday I turned on reaching the final and, after slipping on the Samkova, I gave some thrills, cheering too soon ... ”. In view of the World Cup and the World Championships (10-12 February in Idre Fjall), the picture of the rivals already seems clear given that in the first two races of the season the finalists were the same. “It had never happened to me, I must say that Gulini surprised me, because it has always been strong but without great continuity, which instead it has shown in Valmalenco. We know Eva (Samkova, ed), then there is Julia Pereira who, after the Olympic medal from a very young age (just behind Michela in PyeongChang), has restarted and will be a great rival. On the other hand, I saw Jacobellis and Trespeuch in difficulty, but many young people arrive and this is positive because they put pepper in it ”. Now for the Bergamo champion under the Army only one last taboo remains, that of the world title. "We will return to Chiesa in Valmalenco to train, I'm curious because I've never been on the Swedish track, but it's huge and with great structures, so I really like it because you can make a difference".
