If Martin Fourcade in Sjusjoen's pre-season aperitif had launched the gauntlet by putting his skis in front of his rival, the holder of the World Cup has not pulled back in a duel that, in light of the 30 seconds of separation between the bibs of the French and Norwegian, was indeed close. Seventh is the twenty-two Norwegian Johannes Dale (0 + 1) who precedes his compatriot Bjoentegaard (0 + 1), the Austrian Eberhard (2 + 0) and the Bulgarian Iliev (0 + 2). Confirms the good impressions of Sjusjoen and his growth Thomas Bormolini, perfect at the shooting range and thirteenth, better than the Italians, at the finish line 52 seconds behind Boe. For him, this is the best career performance in the World Cup. Lukas Hofer (0 + 1) is fifteenth at 1.04.6 while three errors weigh on the result of Dominik Windisch forty-ninth; seventy-first Giuseppe Montello (0 + 3), ninetieth Daniele Cappellari (0 + 1).
