First career victory and specialty world cup for the Norwegian who best tames the storm of wind that hits Ostersund. Dorothea Wierer fighting for the upper quarters of the race and of the general classification until the last polygon, crashes and closes in twenty-sixth position.

Averted the risk of cancellation due to the strong wind that hit Ostersund, forcing the organizers to postpone in the afternoon, the female line start, the test kicks off and the first polygon already makes some victims: Hanna Oeberg misses once, Eckhoff, Herrmann Chevalier and Roeiseland two., Vittozzi three, Julia Simon four. Only nine have hit 5/5: Davidova, Wierer, Kalkenberg, Preuss, Hettich, Hinz, Tandrevold, Brorsson and Dzhima.
Two couples show up at the second shooting range: Davidova and Wierer with Tandrevold and Preuss at ten seconds. It is Yulya Dzhima who confirms her reputation as a sniper while all the others are wrong. The Ukrainian is in the middle of the race with a 3-second advantage over Davidova, 6 over Wierer, 11 over Preuss, 14 over Hanna Sola and 18 over Tandrevold. The others are over half a minute while Eckhoff (twice), Hanna Oeberg (3), Roeiseland (4) and Simon (5) are still wrong.
The lottery against the wind of the first standing session rewards Alimbekava who finds himself 13 seconds ahead of Wierer who has lapped twice; at 21 seconds there is Hettich with Sola, Persson who finds the 5/5 and Mironova. Tandrevold who misses three times is eighth at 39.3, Preuss after four laps of eleventh penalty at 51.7.
The Belarusian stretches out in the fourth lap and takes her advantage to 25 seconds over Wierer at the start of the decisive shooting session; there are three mistakes by Alimbekava who still manages to face the last lap with an advantage of a few seconds over Tandrevold, 10 over Haecki and 15 over Preuss. Wierer, on the shooting range in the moment of the most stormy wind, takes more than two minutes and in any case misses three targets.
Wins and it is the first time in career Ingrid Tandrevold (0-1-3-1) who also wins the Mass Start world cup. Second the Belarusian Alimbekava (1-2-0-3) at 6.9, third Franziska Preuss (0-1-4-1) at 11.1. Fourth place goes to Lena Haecki (2-2-1-2) at 15.0 seconds, fifth Kaisheva (1-1-2-1) at 20.1.
Lisa Vittozzi (3-1-0-2) is twentieth at 1.27.7 while Dorothea Wierer (0-1-2-3) twenty-sixth at 2.37.7
