After Sweden's surprise victory in Kontiolahti, the Norwegian girls return to the top step of the podium in the Hochfilzen Relay.

In the launch fraction, Hammerschmidt (0 + 0), Skottheim (0 + 0) and Knotten (0 + 0) shine, taking revenge after the disaster in the first fraction of Kontiolahti. A little further back, about ten seconds later, the usual “safety” Lisa Vittozzi (0 + 1) and the Russian Pavlova (0 + 1). The Belarusian Alimbekava pays three reloads and takes over 17 seconds from the first with the Austrian Zdouc (0 + 1).
Already in the second fraction there are important penalties. The Czech Republic takes command of operations with Morketa Davidova (0 + 2) with the Swedish Persson (0 + 3) less than a second halfway through the race. Franziska Preuss (1 + 3) pays a penalty while standing up as the Norwegian Tandrevold (1 + 3) and the two are 5 seconds from the top, followed by Ukraine's Dzhima at 11.4. Irena Lardschneider is perfect in shooting, in line with the first position still at the exit of the second polygon and then pays 37.3 on the last lap and tackles mid-race in ninth position.
It is Tiril Echoff (0 + 1) who gives the first dry break to the race, winning in the third fraction a 27 second advantage over Justine Braisaz (0 + 3) who after Bescond (0 + 3) and Julia Simon (0 + 6) brings France into second position, paired with Hettich (0 + 1) and Wierer (0 + 1). Belarus, Sweden and Ukraine are over the minute.
Mars Roeiseland (0 + 1) calmly controls the situation and leads Norway to victory after the defeat of Kontiolahti; Anais Chevalier (0 + 4) duels for the other steps of the podium, and an excellent Federica Sanfilippo (0 + 1), Elvira Oeberg (0 + 1) and Denise Herrmann (0 + 5) in about ten seconds.
First place for Norway (1 + 6) ahead of France by 24.5 seconds (0 + 16); third Sweden (1 + 9) at 32.5 which precedes Germany by 2 tenths (1 + 9) and by 4.6 an excellent Italy (0 + 3).
