In Anterselva all the predictions jumped: Loginov wins and Lukas Hofer, by just one tenth, touches the podium he still misses once again this season. Anterselva consecrates the young Bionaz to his best performance in the first 20 km of his career.

Alexander Loginov (0-0-0-0) finds victory in Anterselva, the first after the gold medal at the World Championships last year in the South Tyrolean town; the Russian scores one of the two 20/20 of the day and keeps a sufficient pace on skis to guarantee him the top step of the podium with a 58.5 advantage over Sturla Holm Laegreid (0-1-1-0), the best Norwegian in day that puts a serious risk on winning the specialty World Cup after the victory of Kontiolahti. The fight for the third step of the podium is resolved on the edge of tenths; Frenchman Quentin Fillon Maillet (0-0-1-1) has the best of only one tenth on Lukas Hofer (1-1-0-0) after recovering 5 seconds in the last lap closing at 1.10.6 behind the winner and 3 tenths on the Ukrainian Dudchenko (0-0-0-0). For Lukas, once again close to the podium, the satisfaction of the fourth time on skis one minute and 20 seconds from the alien Johannes Boe and 35 seconds from Benedikt Doll. The blue does even better than the Swedish Martin Ponsiluoma (1-0-0-1), sixth at 1.18.1 where he precedes Christiansen (0-0-1-1) by 4 seconds and the Austrian Simon Eder (0 -0-0-1) of 7. Despite the two errors in the first three polygons, Johannes Boe (1-0-1-2) throws the victory away with two errors in the last session: for him the third position, preceded also by Bjoentegaard (0-2-0- 0), 1.56.4 from the winner with half a second ahead of the German Arnd Peiffer (0-0-0-2). With an exceptional performance Didier Bionaz (0-0-0-1) from Valle d'Aosta closes in thirteenth position at 2.09.2 and qualifies for Sunday's Mass Start.
