Norway and Sweden eliminate themselves and Russia uses the opportunity for a well-deserved victory. Vittozzi, Sanfilippo and Carrara launch Wierer towards the podium but only fourth place arrives.

Lisa Vittozzi (0 + 1) confirms the usual certainty in the launch fraction using a single recharge, standing, and presenting herself at the exchange with a good 16 seconds advantage over Vanessa Hinz (0 + 1) and the Russian Pavlova (0 + 4 ). Skottheim (0 + 0) loses 43.5 seconds, Anais Bescond (1 + 3), after trying to keep the pace of the blue, goes into penalty and France is 55 seconds away while Knotten (1 + 3) gives to Norway yet another handicap start with a disastrous stage that begins with a penalty on the ground.
Federica Sanfilippo (0 + 2) controls the situation well in the first two laps then runs into two standing reloads which, however, keep Italy in the top group with Hettich (0 + 1), Akimova (0 + 1) and the French Anais Chevalier (0 + 0), author of a large fraction. Elvira Oeberg (3 + 3) runs three times, and Sweden is almost two minutes away, twenty seconds worse than Tandrevold (0 + 3).
At the half-time change, Germany precedes Russia by half a second, France 7 and Italy 9. Kryuko (0 + 4) and Alimbekava (0 + 4) keep Belarus afloat 20 seconds behind the treads. Norway turns at 1.17.7, Sweden at 1.58.2.
In the first lap of the third stage, Denise Herrmann stretches while Michela Carrara manages to keep up with Justine Braisaz. They all use a refill except Braisaz who uses two and the Belarusian Kruchinkina who with the 5/5 finds herself with the blue in third position 18 seconds from Germany and a dozen from Mironova.
The standing polygon slows down Herrmann's advance (0 + 3) who finds himself having to chase Mironova (0 + 2); standing is not wrong Carrara (0 + 1) who finds himself in about fifteen seconds, four ahead of Braisaz (0 + 4), stops Kruchinkina (0 + 3), forced to chase.
At the last change, Germany has 4 seconds ahead of Russia, 28 over France, 40 over Belarus and 46 over Italy. Eckhoff (0 + 4) brings Norway to sixth position at 1.15.9 from the top and 30 seconds from the blue, together with the Czech Republic (0 + 7) while Persson (= -0) raises the fortunes of Sweden.
Preuss and Kaisheva make no mistake on the ground, a recharge for Julia Simon and Sola, two for Wierer, 5/5 on Roeiseland which is close to 18 seconds from the blue. Kaisheva (0 + 2) uses two reloads but gains an advantage over Preuss (0 + 1) by about ten seconds; Julia Simon ((0 + 2) is at 14 seconds. Wierer (0 + 4) has to use two reloads and is shoulder to shoulder with Sola (0 + 3) and the two maintain a twenty second advantage over Roeiseland (0+ 2).
Russia (0 + 9) is 11.0 ahead of Germany (0 + 6). Third position, at 21.2, for France that precedes Italy (0 + 8), fourth at 40.5. Belarus fifth (0 + 14), Norway sixth (1 + 12) at 59.6, Sweden seventh (3 + 5) at 1.09.7.
