A start with a bang, to confirm the queen.
Dorothea Wierer has launched a very important signal, in the first individual race of the World Cup season, after yesterday's triumph with the mixed relay. The Oestersund sprint saw the South Tyrolean champion take a big hit, as the ski performance was of the highest level and, despite an error at the shooting range, a hurray arrived in some unexpected ways.
As confirmed by the same "Doro" at fisi.org in the Swedish post-race: "On the eve I didn't think I could start so well, I'm not yet 100% physically - explained Wierer - Maybe many thought I had reached the top of my last season's possibilities, I like to surprise and I would like to continue doing so during the vintage ... The race? I struggled a little on the first lap, then I melted as the kilometers went by.
The coaches gave me the right advice, the skis were perfect and even our physique helped me, since after the relay I had a bit of 'stiff legs'.
On Thursday the individual, after a bit 'of rest: "I expect a couple of days of recovery, then we will focus on the next race where the opponents will still be many and difficult. Roeiseland made a good impression on me, but as usual I leave the predictions to the others ... ".
