The tips of the blue biathlon will be back in the day from Sandnes, after the full week of work carried out in Norway, between the races of the summer opening festival and the training sessions held also in the company of Federico Pellegrino and Francesco De Fabiani, who will remain at the north to move to Trondheim, from 12 August, for the two-week meeting with teammates.
Dorothea Wierer, Lisa Vittozzi, Lukas Hofer, Dominik Windisch and Thomas Bormolini have instead completed this phase of work, but for the first three there is already a new commitment on the horizon. On Saturday morning, the two female masters of the last Women's World Cup and Hofer himself will be in Wiesbaden, for the day before the 2nd edition of the City Biathlon, the event in the town a stone's throw from Frankfurt that it will go on stage Sunday (1.15 pm qualifications, at 3.00 pm the real race).
Eight women and eight men scheduled for a competition that will see Wierer and Vittozzi challenge Marte Olsbu Roeiseland, with whom the comparison has already been interesting at Blink, in addition to the landlords Franziska Hildebrand and Franziska Preuss, Ekaterina Yurlova-Percht, Monika Hojnisz and Anastasiya Kuzmina, again in the race as in Norway despite having announced the withdrawal at the end of last season, but also the will to continue to keep fit in summer and have fun.
Lukas Hofer, who has only trained at Sandnes without taking part in the races, will instead compete with the Boe brothers (Johannes Thingnes Boe won in 2018), the Germans Benedikt Doll and Roman Rees, the Russian Evgeniy Garanichev and two other prominent elements like Simon Eder and Quentin Fillon Maillet.
