Tiril Eckhoff confirms herself as the absolute queen of the 7.5 kilometers of the season, obtaining her fourth consecutive victory in the competition format at the Biathlon World Championships in Pokljuka. The best Lisa Vittozzi of the season is fifth despite a mechanical problem with the rifle in the standing range. Good 10/10 also for the young Lardschneider and for Michela Carrara who with Dorothea Wierer (1 + 1) are in the top twenty-five.

The wind in gusts, sometimes even stormy, is the master of the women's Sprint: at the end of the race the 10/10 can be counted on the fingers of the hand (Eckhoff, Sola, Vittozzi, Dunklee, the Finnish Janka and Lardschneider)
The atmospheric situation is perfectly tamed by the Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff (0 + 0) who, among the best as usual on skis with Chevalier and compatriot Roeiseland, imposes himself with 12 seconds ahead of Anais Chevalier (0 + 1) and 14.4 on the surprising Belarusian Hanna Sola (0 + 0) who chooses the world stage for the first podium in her career.
The German Denise Herrmann (0 + 1), fourth at 22.3 and the outgoing champion Mars Roeiseland (0 + 2), sixth at 43.5, waste their medal opportunities in the standing shooting range. Scoring the best performance of the season, and it could be an excellent viaticum for Sunday's Pursuit, Lisa Vittozzi (0 + 0), fifth at 37.7 after having also paid a hitch with the magazine, falls and after having collected it she has to reinsert it , in the second shooting session which costs her at least ten seconds. The Swiss Lena Haecki (1 + 0) is good seventh at 49.5 and precedes the German Franziska Preuss (0 + 1), eighth at 50.4. The Austrian Hauser (1 + 1) closes in ninth position at 50.5, the Swedish Hanna Oeberg (0 + 1) at 58.8.
Dorothea Wierer (1 + 1) misses a shot at the shooting range and pays on skis almost a minute from the best, closing around the twentieth position at 1.21.9.
