After the Bronze medal in the Sprint, Emilien Jacquelin runs the perfect race and dominates the Pursuit confirming the world title won last year in Anterselva.

Martin Ponsiluoma, winner of the Sprint on Friday, maintains his advantage in the first lap but pays the price of two errors at the shooting range that force him to chase with about forty seconds of delay from Emilien Jacquelin, Sturla Laegreid and Simon Desthieux who are not wrong. A little further back, always with the 5/5 Johannes Boe; Johannes Dale has ten seconds to recover from the leader and Samuelsson 13. Lukas Hofer misses three times and is called out of the fight.
Johannes Boe is quick to catch up with Jacquelin and the two dictate the law in the second round with about fifteen seconds on a quartet composed of Laegreid, Desthieux, Dale and Samuelsson. The Frenchman, outgoing world champion of the race format, is not wrong, while Boe pays a penalty lap and finds himself chasing after 24 seconds. In front of him also Laegreid, Samuelsson and Desthieux, all authors of a 10/10 on the ground. The sixth of the match, perfect on the ground, is the Russian Latypov at 28.8. The rest of the world is beyond the minute.
Jacquelin shows up with an advantage of almost a penalty round and makes no mistake; Desthieux and Samuelsson keep up with it about thirty seconds; Johannes Boe pays a mistake and is 45 seconds with Laegreid who in turn attends the penalty lap. Latypov is also wrong and finds himself one minute behind the head with the French Fillon Maillet.
Emilien Jacquelin concludes his triumphal march with a fourth shooting school range, and for the minor medals the Swede Samuelsson and Johannes Boe remain in the race, going 5/5 in the fourth session with the Norwegian in the last lap he tries, in vain, to detach the Swede.
On the finish line, Emilien Jacquelin (0-0-0-0) wins the gold medal with a 7.3 advantage over the Swedish Samuelsson (0-0-0-0) who once again mocks Johannes Boe ( 0-1-1-0) who must be satisfied with the Bronze medal.
Lukas Hofer (3-0-1-1) is fifteenth at 2.27.3, nineteenth Bormolini (0-0-2-0) at 2.49.8
